Terms of service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and imkitchen ("imkitchen," "we," "us"). They cover your use of our mobile app, website, and any connected services (together, the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for anything that happens under your account.

• One person per account. Don't share logins.
• Accurate info. Give us a working email so we can send receipts, security notices, and recovery links.
• Security. If you suspect unauthorised access, change your password and email security@imkitchen.app immediately.

Recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, notes — anything you create or upload is your content. You own it. Deleting your account removes it from our systems within 30 days.

You're responsible for making sure you have the right to upload what you upload. If a recipe belongs to someone else, don't publish it as yours.

To operate the Service we need a narrow, limited license to your content. You grant imkitchen a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, sync, and process your content solely to provide the Service to you.

Keep the community a place where people want to cook. Don't:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
• Upload unlawful content, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Service.
• Use the Service to transmit malware, spam, or phishing.
• Misrepresent yourself, impersonate others, or create accounts to evade bans.
• Resell, sublicense, or rebrand the Service without our written permission.

Breaking these rules can get your account suspended or terminated, with or without notice depending on severity.

• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel anytime in Settings → Billing; access continues until period end.
• Price changes. We'll give at least 30 days' notice by email before raising your renewal price.
• Payment. Handled by Stripe. Their terms also apply to the charge itself.
• Taxes. Prices exclude applicable taxes unless stated. We collect VAT/GST where required.

We offer a 14-day no-questions refund on the first purchase of a monthly or annual plan. After that, unused time is not refundable, except where required by local consumer law.

The Service itself — our code, design, logos, illustrations, and the imkitchen name — belongs to imkitchen and our licensors. You get a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service as intended.

If you give us feedback, we may use it without obligation. Thank you in advance.

The Service connects with third parties — payment processors, app stores, email providers, and optional integrations you enable. We're not responsible for their practices, and your use of them is governed by their terms.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet every specific need. We do promise we'll try.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, imkitchen and its officers, employees, and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $100.

You agree to defend and indemnify imkitchen against claims arising from (i) your content, (ii) your violation of these Terms, or (iii) your violation of someone else's rights.

You can close your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account. A 30-day grace period lets you change your mind; after that, your data is permanently erased.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, pose a security risk, or where required by law.

Let's try to work it out first — email legal@imkitchen.app and we'll try to resolve things informally within 60 days.

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app and by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
